Major Lord Peter Tremayne is the last man rebel bluestocking Kate Grey should fall in love with, but when the handsome British viscount commandeers her home, Kate throws caution to the wind and responds to his seduction. They can trust no one-especially not each other. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.They are lovers on opposite sides of a brutal war, with everything at stake and no possibility of retreat. To summarize: great book, great writing, great heroine, and a hero to die for. As I said the book is well-narrated.That doesn't mean that this is my favorite narrator, but she's very good. This is her first book but it sure doesn't read like she's a newby, because she isn't. She is a Hollywood screenplay writer, so a trailer makes sense. Author Donna Thorland has a trailer for this book on her website that is worth looking at. Would you be willing to try another one of Madeleine Lambert’s performances? Who knew the American Revolution could be so sexy. No comparison to anything out there in this genre. What other book might you compare The Turncoat to and why? I highly recommend the book (just not the audible version.) There is intrigue, debauchery, sexual tension, explicit sex (not gratuitous, but it works) and much more. It's mostly a (somewhat steamy) romantic-thriller. As for the book itself, it is easily the most enjoyable historical-fiction I've ever read about the American Revolution, but not for the obvious reasons. Listen to the sample, it doesn't get any better. I actually read it first and decided to get this version because I loved it that much I'm sorry I wasted the credit. Where does The Turncoat rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far? Skip this version, reader is not enjoyable, at all
