Daniel goes to the doctor where he learns not to be afraid of medical visits. There are a variety of stories here teaching children all sorts of values. Elementary school teachers say to have children read what they like. It helps early readers because they're already familiar with the story so they can read the book a lot faster. Many of them are taken verbatim from the television series which is not a bad thing. If your child or secretly you watch the television series, these stories will be familiar to you. We end up reading these even though it's like nails on a chalkboard for me. But my child loves the tv series therefore the books based on the series.
